Luis qui parle parfaitement le français est d'une gentillesse extrême, toujours prêt à nous aider et à nous conseiller, une personne extraordinaire ????????????
Philip est super aussi mais la barrière de la langue a un peu freiné nos échanges
Quant à luisa, une belle personne aussi, très souriante
Je vous recommande cet hôtel et même si malheureusement nous n'étions pas face au Douro, c'est vraiment un bon hôtel, excellente literie, petit déjeuner formidable...que des éloges ????????????

All the staffs are very nice and service minded. I would say this is a strength point of this hotel. Since you arrive, they would give you a map and recommended all the places to visit. You can always ask any questions or recommendations from them. The staff also offered me a few glasses of port wine during my stays.
The hotel room is very clean and comfortable. The water pressure in the shower is good and you get everything you need. The breakfast is very good and big portion. The location of the hotel is very good. You can end your night by enjoy the music from the local artist along side the river before you head back to sleep at the hotel.

The location is as good as it gets for the Porto metro area and Douro river, being extremely close to good restaurants, convenience stores, boat tours, attractions, and a stones throw from the Dom Luis I bridge.
Our room overlooked the river from the 2nd floor, which unlike the other floors, has a balcony to enjoy the hustle and bustle of the waterfront. However, I’m not sure what the other rooms were like for space but we found with all the luggage we had plus the 2 of us, the room was a bit cramped. But it worked nonetheless.
The best part of our stay was undoubtedly the service from Luisa, Connie and Luis. They were always so willing to help or provide for us, even if it was just a coffee or glass of wine, at any hour of the day. We’d also never had as thorough a run-through of any towns offerings and attractions, as we had from Luisa when we arrived.
Whenever we do find ourselves back in this part of Portugal, we’ll 100% be back at Guest House Douro. Well done team.

Atendimento fantástico, o staff é simpático, atencioso e sempre disponível e preocupado com o bem estar do cliente.

O pequeno almoço é top, 5 estrelas servido num espaço muito familiar e aconchegante, com apenas 3 mesas.

O hotel tem apenas 8 quartos, o que o torna muito familiar.
Parece que estás en tu casa. Desde el primer momento que entramos nos recibieron con la mejor de las sonrisas. Tanto Connie como Luis, nos hicieron sentirnos como en nuestra casa, nos dieron toda las facilidades: información sobre los sitios de interés, recomendación de bares/restaurantes, mercadillos de navidad, salir por la noche... Nos recibieron con bebida incluido, y, que decir de los desayunos! Luis nos acompañó en un desayuno con fruta fresca, pastelitos, tostadas, café, zumo natural... Cualquier cosa que necesitamos nos ayudaron en todo. Si volvemos a Oporto, volveríamos sin lugar a dudas. ????
We stayed in Guest House Douro in 2009 for the first time and were seduced by the quality of this establishment and professionalism of Carmen and Joao, its owners. We are dated 3 times from this quaint and tenons share our enthusiasm for this establishment which offers more than a quality accommodation and a real service worthy of marked prices. Note that breakfast is EXCEPTIONAL and largely higher than what you can find hotels as well 4° on quality produce on both attentive service and very professional of Joao. An ideal destination in Porto, a perfect location and much more than a quality accommodation, Carmen and Joao receive you like friends!
