CASTLE IN THE CLOUDS

The "castle in the clouds" is a huge building perched high up on the mountain with a majestic view of the lake. The luxurious residence, part of the Lucknow estate, was built in 1914 by a wealthy industrialist as a resort. It has 19 rooms and was designed by Boston architect John William Beals, who equipped it with the latest innovations of the time. A guided tour of the basement (Basement Tour), at the time occupied by the servants, can be taken. In the park you can see acres of forest and a waterfall.
