The best restaurants Wellfleet

Eating in a fish shack (literally a fish shack) is a must when traveling in New England. You eat the fish just out of the fisherman's traps and it's excellent. Multiple specialties to be tasted boiled, fried, grilled, it's a delight! The establishment also offers sushi. The decoration of the place is authentic, here no fuss, but a little extra soul! Mac's Shack has a picturesque side that we love. Several addresses on the Cape Cod, as well as stalls in the summer markets.

This bistro is unquestionably the best in Wellfleet village. The oysters here are so mischievous that they can only be enjoyed at lunchtime, with a drizzle of lemon or a homemade cocktail sauce. That's right, Americans love their oysters with a tomato or spicy sauce! In the evening, the menu becomes more refined, with a focus on fish. Grilled, pan-fried or fried, it comes in many varieties: salmon, cod, sole, catch of the day... We preferred the main dining room to the veranda overlooking the parking lot. Friendly service.
