Established by the International Society of Gilders, this museum presents the history, techniques and craftsmanship of using precious metal leaf for design and decoration. The exhibit features items from the Swift Collection, a company that had been manufacturing gold leaf in Hartford, Connecticut's capital city, since 1887. When it closed in 2005, the former owner (a 5th generation gold beater) donated his collection to the City of Pontiac.
