Museum with historic spaces and contemporary art galleries in Winslow.
WAT was opened in 2019 by the owners of La Posada who had decided to transform the historic railroad depot adjacent to the hotel into a Route 66 art museum. The museum includes both historic spaces and contemporary art galleries. The central passenger waiting room has been restored to its original grandeur and serves as a welcome center. The contemporary art galleries feature nationally recognized artists. Snowdrift Art Space (art studio) and El Gran Art Garage (private venue) are two WAT affiliates in Winslow.
