The best bars and cafés Corfou Chora (Kerkyra)

Located in a street adjacent to the Liston, this bar deserves to be known. The terrace is set in the heart of old Corfu. This pleasant café - and less expensive than the palace of the same name in Paris - is pleasant during the day for its jazz or lounge music, then it turns into a lively bar in the evening, literally taken over by Corfu students. The cocktails are delicious: try the very original one made with kumquat liqueur, a specialty of the island! It's called the "kumquat o'clock", and it's a real treat!

Winter and summer alike, this trendy café is a favourite with Corfiotes. As we walked by, we noticed that its outdoor terrace was always busy. And we quickly understand why! The view on the bay and the old fort of Corfu is irresistible. The coffee is very good, and the breakfasts too! Try the feta cheese omelette for example, it's very tasty. The café serves snacks all day, burgers, huge salads and excellent sandwiches. If you are with your family, the children can play in the nearby park.

One of the many cafés along the Liston: this beautiful café has a large terrace overlooking the Spianada, Corfu's large park, which is a very pleasant spot in all seasons. The atmosphere is friendly, and Corfiotes are happy to mingle with tourists for long evenings! It's one of the town's most popular - and often fully booked - places to enjoy a coffee or glass of wine at any time of day. You can sit for hours and watch the crowds go by on their way to and from the beach and the old town.

We're so happy to find a (real) espresso in the old town! Here, a few tables overlook one of Corfu's quietest and most pleasant squares. A small inner courtyard, to the left of the bar, is very pleasant and shady. A relaxing atmosphere, with a little music, and very comfortable seats. A beautiful courtyard, with a huge fan when the heat is on. Coffee and drinks are reasonably priced, and the staff are very friendly. And if it's too hot, try the iced tea, not bad either...

It bears its name in all simplicity on the eponymous promenade. On this esplanade, which looks like the Rue de Rivoli, the prices are not the same as in Paris, however, and the atmosphere is undoubtedly a little more relaxed. Despite a well-stocked menu, we must admit that we prefer to come here for a drink, to chat and to watch life go by. It's ideal at the end of the evening and practical when waiting for the bus to go to Kanoni or before the taxi to the airport for example. The place is also worth a visit for its breakfasts.

This wine bar, run by Pavlos Soueref, offers a nice menu for a drink before eating, which you can accompany with a plate of 24-month-old gravel. There is also an elegant dining area with wine-related decorations such as corks and wine crates, as well as an open kitchen, where you may want to linger.
