Visit the archaeological site of Grotta, dating from the early Cycladic period.
Work undertaken by British archaeologist Colin Renfrew in the 1990s led to the discovery of part of the ancient city, known as Grotta, dating from the early Cycladic period (3200-2800 BC). The discovery was so important that the period in question is now called "Grotta-Pélos". The site, built in 1999, offers a view of square houses and part of the old agora.
