DAISY WHEEL
This tower is one of the few remaining vestiges of the fortifications that surrounded Argentan, with a vaulted room and framework.
Also known as the Grosse Tour or Tour au Fèvre, the Tour Marguerite is, along with the keep built in the 12th century by Henri I Beauclerc, one of the few remaining vestiges of the fortifications surrounding Argentan. 30 meters high and 10 meters in diameter, it rises over 4 levels. Two rooms, one vaulted, the other under the roof structure, are open to the public during summer visits, as is the covered walkway, which offers a breathtaking view over the town. It was successively a women's prison and a storage facility for the local militia.
