This tower is one of the few remaining vestiges of the fortifications that surrounded Argentan, with a vaulted room and framework.

Also known as the Grosse Tour or Tour au Fèvre, the Tour Marguerite is, along with the keep built in the ^12th century by Henri ^I Beauclerc, one of the few remaining vestiges of the fortifications surrounding Argentan. 30 meters high and 10 meters in diameter, it rises over 4 levels. Two rooms, one vaulted, the other under the roof structure, are open to the public during summer visits, as is the covered walkway, which offers a breathtaking view over the town. It was successively a women's prison and a storage facility for the local militia.

Lors d'une visite guidée proposée par la ville, belle découverte que la tour Marguerite bien restaurée que l'on peut visitée. Deux petites salles permettant de souffler un peu dans l'ascension de la tour jusqu'à son sommet et d'emprunter son tour de ronde pour ainsi profiter d'une très belle vue sur la ville d'Argentan : une bonne occasion de regarder cette charmante ville autrement. Petits et grands ont été charmés de cette visite courte et agréable.
