Media library partly housed in a former chapel where artists are regularly invited

Bringing together heritage, arts and culture in the same place: this could be the slogan for this wonderful media library, located in the heart of a park and partly housed in a 19th-century Redemptorist chapel. Architect P. Prunet has taken advantage of a double architecture: a glass façade and a chapel housing the Image et Son space, which regularly welcomes artists. With its gallery organized into work spaces, this is one of the finest media libraries in the Orne region.

C'est la bibliothèque principale d'Argentan.
L'entrée du bâtiment se situe au sud-ouest dans le parc, du côté de la rue du 104e régiment d'infanterie.

Super cadre, personnel sympa et compétent, en revanche la proximité des écoles est un peu la malediction du lieu : il y a un va et vient incessant d'enfants et/ou d'ados qui s'installent pour discuter, rigoler, jouer dans les zones supposées silencieuses, en étant très bruyant et irrespectueux vis à vis de ceux qui sont là pour y trouver le calme... Dommage.
