AGLIO E OLIO

Italian restaurant and pizzeria
4/5
1 review

With its wooden front and interior, Aglio e olio is not an intimate and sophisticated restaurant. Once inside, the tone is set. The smells speak for themselves. It's an Italian restaurant that doesn't look like much, located in the center of Penedo, but it serves some of the best pasta we've ever tasted in Brazil! The penne al'arrabiata or a la napolitana are a real success! A small wine list that is also nice and cheap. An address not to be missed!

CASA DO FRITZ

German restaurant

We leave the Finnish style of Penedo for a moment. In a restaurant with a European-style roof, Fritz, a Swiss who moved here a few years ago, prepares excellent German-style cuisine. The beer is served ice cold and you can eat on the terrace. What more could you want? Anyway, it's always full, which is the best proof of quality. Of course, Fritz's cuisine is not exactly nouvelle cuisine... You would have guessed it.

JARDIM SECRETO

Fusion restaurant and international cuisine €€

The Secret Garden is aptly named. It is one of those establishments that you want to keep secret. The chef Fabiano de Almeida officiates in the kitchen of a refined and elegant restaurant, considered one of the best in Penedo. You can try the grilled pirarucu, even if it is not a local fish. It is often recommended. The trout (local) is given pride of place. The menu is contemporary and the wine list is quite extensive. In the evening, candlelight dinners are accompanied by the murmur of the river.

SKANDINAVIA

Takeaway food

Skandinavia refers of course to the Finnish colony in the city. For more than 15 years, this sandwich shop has been a rallying point for all those who are hungry. You won't find any Scandinavian specialities here, it's a classic sandwich shop. It is certainly the best sandwiches of the city which are proposed there. Traditionally, the portions are generous. A sandwich is equivalent to a meal! Sure, the place is simple, but the Three Steps or the Don Rodrigo will get you back on your feet.
