The one of Dur-Ecu testifies to the presence, before the Revolution, of a small nobility exploiting the surrounding land itself. A fortified house was built in the 16th century, after the Hundred Years’ War, in order to control the users of the road or to defend themselves. The whole complex can be visited on sunny days: the dovecote and the courtyards, of any beauty, are as many small wonders. Gîtes are also available.
