Church located near the Roman ruins, housing rich furniture, including the statue of Our Lady of Victory from the fifteenth century
The parish of Alleaume is located near the Roman ruins. The church preserves 12th-century architecture, modified in the 13th, 15th, and 18th centuries. It houses rich furnishings, including the 15th-century statue of Our Lady of Victory, once the object of local worship, and an altarpiece from the very beginning of the 19th century, decorated with terracotta statues by Sauxmesnil. Outside the building remains a beautifully made Romanesque relief. The cemetery houses 72 classified burials.

Eglise Notre-Dame-D'Alleaume 50700 Valognes
L'Eglise Notre-Dame-D'Alleaume est une grande bâtisse jouxtant son cimetière, située dans la ville de Valognes. Elle semble un peu délaissée car des travaux paraissent en attente. J'ai bien apprécié les différentes Stations du Christ, sobres et belles, ainsi que les chapelles. Le chœur est, quant à lui, magnifique mais semble avoir été « rapporté » et posé devant un vitrail, ce qui produit de belles couleurs changeantes avec les reflets de lumière du soleil, mais masque un vitrail sans doute très beau également.
