Capitol, is like the dwelling place of God, housing a few columns standing on the podium and an altar at the foot of the steps

It must be imagined as it was at the time of its splendour, emblematic of the city at its height... The Romans considered it as the residence of the god he welcomed and its statue recalled his presence with the living. Today, only a few columns stand on a podium, no longer supporting anything. They were reconstructed and the missing parts were filled with bricks. At the foot of the steps, the altar, where the faithful gathered, was probably intended for animal sacrifices during official ceremonies.

Volubilis est un site incroyable de beauté. Le Capitole se dresse majestueusement parmis les coline du site. Au printemps, le site est recouvert de fleurs c'est vraiment splendide. De plus le nombre de touristes est encore limité, vous pourrez vraiment profiter de votre balade !

Le capitole reste un monument grandiose de part sa taiile et son ampleur même si les vestiges sont incomplet
l'alignement des colonnes restantes ainsi que la structure restant au sol permettent de l'imaginer au temps de sa splendeur
Il se situe en opposé de l'entrée
