Castle built in 1666 in the center of Thonon, housing the Chablais museum with permanent and temporary exhibitions.

Overlooking the lake in a pleasant and flowery setting, the modest castle of the Counts of Sonnaz (17th century) is located in downtown Thonon. Built in 1666 on the ruins of the medieval castle of Thonon, it was the property of one of the oldest families of Savoy. Today it houses the tourist office and the Chablais museum. Several permanent exhibitions are devoted to the history of the Chablais. They are complemented by temporary exhibitions.
