Small hotel near the bus station (nearest), clean and convenient for late arrivals or early morning. Correct for the price.

The Calypso remains a reference address. With its 69 modern and comfortable rooms (very good bedding!), perfectly maintained on a daily basis, its pleasant terrace restaurant, its quality cuisine, its heated indoor swimming pool and its wellness area (gym, hammam, massages and body treatments), this business and relaxation hotel offers services of a very solid European standard. A professional team that listens to its guests and ensures their satisfaction in a warm and relaxed atmosphere.

A hotel of good standing: 44 rooms of 35 m ², plus two suites of 70 m ² with jacuzzi tub. All rooms are air-conditioned with mini bar, safe, satellite TV and WLAN. Private parking. Billiards, conference room and wellness area during our visit in 2017. Sky Garden restaurant offers good international cuisine with Italian specialities. An interesting choice for businessmen or wealthy travellers.

A set of very good quality, offering all the amenities of use. Good restaurant with a terrace open on the street, popular in the evening. Duty free shop and souvenir shop. A very central address and well equipped for business people. 

Superb colonial building, all white dressed, with a swimming pool, bar, disco and a charme of another time… Efforts in the renovation (paintings, etc.) have enhanced a bit of its stamp, but if the ensemble is much more charming than Sharon, the rooms are less comfortable. The restaurant, however, enjoys public favours: Very good food. It should be said that the products come from the family garden, in the property of the «Domaine des Stud Masteva», where there are also magnificent horse riding. A conference room and a casino quickly fill this address: reservations recommended. Good location in front of the sea and close to some restaurants.

The New Testament is present in every room of this 5-story hotel, impeccably managed by^Mrs. Cathy. Located in the heart of downtown and in the heart of a popular district, the establishment remains tolerant for the lovers, who have the right to spend the night with the customers, we are told. The rooms are clean and well kept, the sheets immaculate, from the lowest prices. Certainly the best value for money on Tamatave for small budgets. The hotel is well placed for an early departure to the capital.

The hotel faces the ocean, as its name indicates. The site, tropical as desired, is superb. Large swimming pool (free for guests, pay for visitors). Unfortunately, overall maintenance of the whole is not always optimal (including health care). Good restaurant L'Hibiscus with terrace overlooking the swimming pool.

Quiet rooms, although a little dated, all with balcony and some with a small lounge. Prefer those on the 4 th floor to enjoy the ocean view (no lift, however). Good restaurant on the ground floor.

Set by 2014, Gislaine and Jean-Luc, this hotel-restaurant 100 metres from the Indian Ocean offers air-conditioned rooms with TV, safe and mini bar. In the restaurant, Cuisine, Malagasy and French cuisine.

A few steps from the bus station (so convenient), some spacious rooms, some better than others (with balcony it is more pleasant but also quieter). Renovations were made (sanitary and tile in some air-conditioned rooms). It is a bad thing, but for transit it is the case.

Kind of "traditional village" made up of bungalows in local materials (bamboo, rosewood, ravenala… hence an interview sometimes difficult) overlapping a little (lack of intimacy, but user friendly). Each room can accommodate up to three people (mezzanine). A provision: kitchenette, satellite TV corner, private bathroom and private terrace. Comfortable enough, but we appreciate the flowered garden.

Central and impersonal establishment, offering quite clean rooms but with a limited comfort. Therefore, without a claim, practical and functional. The La Veranda restaurant (near, but not on-site) offers a varied and varied cuisine.

26 bungalows spread under coconut trees, on the water (direct access), not far from the harbour, and in fact close to the centre. Pleasant environment, but benefits a little decreasing lately (lack of maintenance). Prices, however, remain accessible. You can order your meals. In July 2013, new comfortable rooms were under construction on two floors.

Not ecstasy, but finally it is always much better than many addresses of the same category, for the same price. A small effort in maintenance would not be superfluous, but good… A certain heat anyway. The prices are very reasonable.

Located in the centre of Tamatave, this residence offers comfortable guest rooms. During the day you can go to the beach (500 metres) or enjoy the hotel swimming pool. On request, a dinner with local cuisine can be prepared.

Together very well maintained, with some search in the garden. The rooms are quite spacious, especially the family. Restaurant on site. A good value for money ratio. However, taxi is essential for travel in the evening.
