Moramanga (" cheap mango ") is a historical site: here, in 1947, began the national insurrection for independence that would spread to the whole country. As the name suggests, it is also a place where gourmets can, in season (November/December), have a real mango cure. Lively and colorful, the market allows all year round to stock up on the fruits of the region. To get to Andasibe from Tana by transport, you have to get off here and change for another taxi-brousse, which will leave you at the entrance of the park or in the village (and not only at the edge of the RN 2, as the taxi-brousse do between Tana and Tamatave).
