12 km north of Aix-en-Provence, on the Luberon road, Château du Seuil, built in the 13th and 17th centuries, is one of the region's finest architectural achievements. The Château du Seuil vineyard stretches over 62 hectares on the southern slopes of the Trévaresse between 350 and 450 m above sea level, benefiting from plenty of sunshine and the mistral wind, which helps keep the vines healthy. In addition to its AOP selection, the estate has recently developed an IGP rosé and white wine offering excellent value for money. All the estate's wines are available for tasting and commentary by a team of professionals every day of the week, in a unique and welcoming setting.

Op 25 augustus bezocht. Volgens de website en hun eigen bord op de deur zijn ze open. Bij aankomst na 60 minuten rijden gesloten!! Wat een teleurstelling.

We arrived to a beautiful setting but the lady wasn’t very friendly, and wines were average. The sparkling wine was worth it though. Better to book a tour if you want a better experience.

Nous avons été déçus par la degustation au domaine. La visite était très rapide: le tout clôturé en vitesse avec des explications assez courte et pas énormément de « passion ». Nous avons ensuite eu droit à une dégustation de vins assez moyens mais correctes. Un peu dommage que la dégustation de la planche de fromage-charcuterie se fasse à côté du magasin plutôt que devant le château ou dans les jardins qui offriraient un cadre plus chaleureux. Le tout est très commercial et axé bénéfices plutôt que passion pour le vin.
