A superb underwater park that extends for almost 50 km to the Mozambican border and includes two bays (Mnazi and Ruvuma) separated by a peninsula. It is a place frequented by dolphins, whales (between June and September) and four species of marine turtles. Its biodiversity in mangroves, sea grass and corals is recognized worldwide. Subsidies received from visiting the park allow the economic development of 12 villages in the area. Contact The Old Boma to find out how to get there (contacts in Mikindani). Msimbati village, in the heart of the park, is an hour's drive from Mtwara.
