Manor house built at the end of the century by Jean Le Coq, one of the best-preserved examples of the architecture of this period.
The manor of Grand Taute was built at the end of the 16th century by Jean Le Coq, an officer of justice. This monument is one of the best-preserved examples of the architecture of this period in Coutançais. The visit allows evoking with precision the framework of life of a rural seigniory during the troubled period of the Wars of Religion. The ensemble is composed of a dwelling, a pond, an old garden, a wine press, a stable, and a bakery. A notice given at the entrance will guide you in this discovery, which can only be done from outside.
