On the north-west of Bangui, on the asphalted road leading to Bouar, lies the famous falls of Boali. After crossing the hydroelectric dam that provides the capital with electricity, the Mbali River rises around 250 metres high, in a few loons that spread over m wide. Spectacular and refreshing for a Sunday picnic. In the dry season, you reach the bottom of the falls by a concrete staircase, long and steep. At the bottom, the pressure of the water has dug small natural pools where it is possible to soak, if ambient droplets - due to the fracassement of falls on the rocks - have already not fed you enough! It is possible to climb the river along the river. Approximately metres higher, a three-wire monkey bridge crosses the muddy waters of Mbali. The premises call it the "bridge of liane", but there's nothing here about plants, if not some crumbling wood boards. On the other side of the bank, we walk in a landscape of trees of trees, and the panorama is just as beautiful, the eye directly overhanging the falls, with a panoramic view over the valley.
