SEPT-ÎLES OLD TRADING POST

Located in the heart of the Innu community of Uashat, this historical interpretation site presents daily life in a 19th century fur trade post. On the site, animated by period characters, you will find, among other things, reconstructions of a trading post and an Innu camp. It must be said that the site was used at the time of the summer gathering for the Innu who traded with French merchants until 1842. An enriching visit based on the encounter, over time, of Innu and Euro-Canadian cultures.
