LUMAHAI BEACH

Located halfway between Hanalei and Haena, Lumahai Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. It appears on many postcards of Kauai and was used as a set for the South Pacific musical! However, the currents are strong and swimming is not recommended. It is better to go for a walk, which is just as beautiful. In summer, you can go swimming in the small cove named "Kahalahala Beach", which is protected by rocks. Snorkeling is also very pleasant there, provided that it is not too crowded that day!
