WAIAKOA LOOP TRAIL

Length: 3 miles (5 km). Duration: about 2 hours. Level of difficulty: moderate. Bicycles allowed. The entrance to the trail is near the Polipoli State Park welcome kiosk. The walk, often uphill, is done in the middle of a pine forest and endemic plants. Beautiful views of the coast can be seen between the trees. Beware the place is open to hunting, make noise regularly and try to wear visible clothes. Finally, check the weather conditions and the opening of the trail before your departure.
