Beach 69 is one of the beaches crossed by the Ala Kahakai hiking trail
On Highway 19, turn into Puako Road between mile markers 70 and 71. Then take the first right at the gate. A bumpy road leads to the parking lot and the beach. A beach so secret and quiet that young Hawaiians have mischievously nicknamed it "69 Beach"... Very good snorkeling at the northeast end of the beach. Safe swimming. In the summer, the water color is superb and the trees along the beach offer a much appreciated shade. Beach 69 is one of the beaches crossed by the Ala Kahakai hiking trail.
