Isaac Hale Beach is one of the few surf spots on the island of Hawai'i and one of the newest beaches on the island

Also called Pohoiki Beach, it was one of the few surf spots on the island of Hawai'i. 4 breaks from south to north: 1st Bay, 2nd Bay, Shacks and Bowls. Unfortunately they were destroyed by the Kilauea eruption. It is also one of the newest beaches on the island because the 2018 flow has completely remade its landscape: the camping area and the toilets, showers and picnic tables have disappeared under the flow, while a beautiful black sand beach has formed
