The second largest aqueduct in the country, one of the first historical works of the city in Vila Do Conde.
From the convent of Santa Clara (Largo Dom Afonso Sanches), this aqueduct is the second largest in the country. Between 1705 and 1714, 999 arches were built over an extension of about 4 km to supply the convent. If you arrive by tram in Vila do Conde, it is one of the first historical works of the city that you will see. Impressive, it seems endless! Undoubtedly on your itinerary to visit the city. L'aqueduc surprend par ses dimensions et la quantité d'arches dont il dispose ! Il finit à l'église de Santa Clara, malheureusement fermée.
