A nice seaside resort well known to the Portuguese with 18 kilometres of beaches and many services by the sea. From Porto, it is easy to get there by train from São Bento or Campanha station. By bus, it is less convenient but at the arrival the aqueduct Santa Clara and its convent will welcome you. You can easily make the round trip during the day. At the cais da Alfandega, near the Rio Ave and the Museum of Civil Construction, is moored the replica of a three-masted ship of the 16th century used at the time of the discoveries. If you choose to stay in northern Portugal, continue on to Viana do Castelo.
