The rooms were great The service was so-so ask for the couch to be turned down the first night they said absolutely and we left all day came back and it was not made into a bed the next night it was. The other reason for the rating is they serve nasty Pepsi they should have at least a choice of Coke products for purchase at the front counter.
Nice clean new feeling hotel. Food at the restaurant was served fast and is delicious. Walking distance from the hotel is a restaurant and a small tavern if you are in the mood for something else or just want to stretch your legs a bit. I was here for work, the hotel was comfortable and clean.
Great hotel in an excellent part of town. Easy access to everything. Service was great. Bar made for a nice nightcap. Rooms big and clean. Good breakfast (not free). Friendly and helpful staff.
Slumber party with young girls blasting inappropriate music, screaming, jumping, the floor was shaking, hanging out in the hall outside or door, running around the hotel in their little white pj's shorts. Had to blare our music to down them out. Not too thrilled.
Rooms are clean and quite, staff are accommodating and kind, the bistro bar is great for sharing a beer with co-workers at the end of the day. The breakfast and dinner options are greatly improved, thank you for listening. The bed in the room I stayed in was comfortable on one side. It was a big wallowed out on the other side. Not sure what happened there but the mattress may need to be maintained in some way.
September 2023.
We returned
The pool is reconditioned.
The hotel is clean.
Miss Autumn is a bright and vibrant staff at the moment of checking in.
The toilet seat is still thin and flimsy
The staff on shift that clean the hotel is awesome.
Good job.
We go out to eat breakfast. Way cheaper
We are not Starbucks fans.cannit stand Starbucks.
The hotel is a great property. A lot in the area
We stay at Marriott as bonvoy guests. The hotel has so much going for it. The room decor and the lobby decor is wonderful. All the furniture is comfortable. The breakfast Cafe and the evening cocktail lounge and bistro Cafe are great.
Now, the gritty.
The thin and flimsy toilet seat shifts from side to side. We are thin and at medical weight. Each time we set upon the throne, any shift from a slight set would make the seat want to slip out over the porcelain ring of the throne.
The jacuzzi has no means of turning the jets on. A clerk at the front desk told us it was a soaking hot tub. No way.
There were guests there who went into the not so clean pool.
They went in with socks and pants and shorts and shirts on.
Like it might have been wash day. We did learn that some hurricane Ida holdovers were there for an extended FEMA stay.
The other good bits now.
The bistro Cafe is nice. Good breakfast at a fair price. We will stay again after the hotel gets a freshening up. Get the indoor pool fixed. I guess if the indoor pool had been fixed and open, wash day might gave happened indoors at that pool.
6 other hotels in the area are being repaired now. In Spring there will be relief. FEMA will expire. All will be restored. The Fairgield Inn is under renovations. Maybe there in a few months.
Stayed over the weekend, and the room was very nice and spacious. Front desk was very friendly and welcoming. Hotel was very clean. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel bistro and it was delicious. Pool area was very spacious, but we didn't get to use the pool. The parking lot was large and had a lot of lighting.
Great Location.!
Spent a week for Mardi Gras.
Booking again for next year.!!
Must Stay!!
Even has a Starbucks
Thanks to staff for amazing service and being so kind and compassionate ❤️❤️
