CHICOT STATE PARK

Located 6 miles north of Ville Platte on LA-3042, this large park attracts fishermen and hikers of all kinds. The park's campground is really comfortable - it has a swimming pool - and offers a nice stopover (ready-to-camp tents and cabins are also available for rent). It is located around a lake next to the arboretum. This orchard is a real living museum of trees. You will see all kinds of trees. The visit can be done alone by following the signs and indications or with a guide. For those who like to rest in nature.
