7 km southwest of Súa and 9 km from Atacames. Same has a very long beach lined with palm trees, but does not have the charm of its neighbours. The village is almost non-existent and large high-end apartment buildings distort the landscape (Casablanca is just next door). The wealthy Ecuadorians have set their sights on this village and invade the beach during school holidays (in December and January, in particular). But the earthquakes of 2016 weakened some real estate projects, stopping all construction altogether. Although life has gradually resumed its course, Same is still a little less charming than some of her neighbours.
