26 km southwest of Esmeraldas (45 minutes by bus) and 5 km from Atacames. This small resort offers fine sandy beaches which are all the more pleasant as they are less frequented than those of Atacames. It is above all a holiday resort that comes alive during school holidays and at weekends (in December and during Holy Week). It is above all a family destination appreciated by Ecuadorians, and a whale watching spot between the end of June/beginning of July and September. The motorcycle taxi is the best way to get around the village. A practical, efficient and economical way of transportation.
