La Mecha's menu is a perfect blend of delicious Italian flavours and the flavours of the northwestern lands of Ecuador, making each dish a creative and unforgettable proposition. At La Mecha, we work hand in hand with local producers, the best quality ingredients are chosen, the pasta is hand made. Trout carpaccio, gnocchi au gratin, pizza Della Casa (with peppers and aubergines) made in a wood-fired oven are on the menu. La Mecha is an obligatory stop in Mindo.

An organic café-restaurant that cooks its own fresh fruit and vegetables. The dishes on offer mix Ecuadorian and American culinary influences (pancakes, among others). Vegetarian recipes are offered, but there are also meat and shrimp dishes... Among the desserts, truffles, brownies or cookies, to be accompanied by a coffee roasted on the spot or a home-made beer, or even a delicious brownie with home-made ice cream and chocolate. Tours of the chocolate factory offered every day.

There is a simple kitchen between almuerzos and trout (truchas). There are tables outside of the hotel that allow you to enjoy a drink in the evening and observe the entertainment of the village. Try the Mexican Burger (with bacon, guacamole, cheese, tomatoes and beans).

The specialty of the house is the beef filet cooked on a refractory stone and served at the table like this. The beef is excellent, it comes from the region of Santo Domingo de los Colorados, and the cooking is on demand. If you prefer fish, we recommend the traditional fried trout accompanied by the no less famous patacones. The welcome is very friendly, the portions are copious and the flavours are great. A beautiful wine list of Spain, Chile and Argentina at less than 25 US$ the bottle, the whole for the pleasure of your papillae.
