Getting around by bus and coach Guatemala City

This stop is located at the end of line 12 of the Transmetro, and is also a bus station served by companies like Fortaleza and Rápidos del Sur. From here, buses leave for Amatitlán - half an hour from the capital - for San Marcos - east of Xela - and for some towns in Escuintla, such as Puerto de San José, Puerto de Iztapa, Puerto de Sipacate, La Democracia and San Vincente Pacaya. Other destinations are Monterrico, on the Pacific coast, Retalhuleu, further west, and Mazatenango, located near the latter.

This bus station is one of the main stations of line 12 of the Transmetro, where the bus companies Transportes Méndez and Veloz Quichelense run. It is the starting point for the popular tourist destinations of Antigua, San Pedro La Laguna on the shores of Lake Atitlan, and Chichicastenango in the department of Sololá, which is particularly famous for its market. There are also buses to San Juan Sacatepéquez - an hour's drive away -Totonicapán - east of Xela - and Tecpán, in Chimaltenango.
