MEMORIAL J. BORGES

We all remember the little pyrography or xylogravure irons of our childhood. Some artists have turned this craft practice into a real art. The greatest representative of xylogravure (woodcutting) in Brazil is undoubtedly J. Borges, a native of Pernambuco. In this memorial dedicated to his work, in Bezerros, his works printed on paper or tiles are displayed. The North-Eastern tradition of naive representation is omnipresent in the works of this popular artist. Very interesting!
