South of Corumbaú, a village with an indigenous name, Cumuruxatiba, is a fishing village where time seems to have stopped. The days seem to be organized according to the rhythms of yesteryear. Early in the morning, the exit of the fishing boats creates the animation. Then the small town seems to be taken of a soft torpor from 11 am to 5 pm. After sunset, the villagers meet to chat in the evening in the barracas of the seaside. Most of the pousadas and restaurants are clustered on the Praia Rio do Peixe Grande, about 1 km north of the village. Cumuruxatiba is a good option for a quiet stay on this part of the coast.
