Only 11 km from Gaoua, on the N, not far from the track leading to Obiré, a small ONTB window marks the entrance of the site. The entrance fee is about CFAF 1 500 (calling for a ticket) and the tour is guided. During is the most famous site of the region but not the most interesting, even though the walk in these ruins colonized by the vegetation is pleasant. Uncertainty about the origin of these buildings necessarily limits interest at the moment. The guide raises a certain mystery: is the origin of these ruins a secret kept by the old? However, since June 2009 and its inscription to UNESCO heritage (see box), the site is the subject of all attention and should become the flagship attraction of tourism in Burkina Faso. It is true that the potential is great: these are massive buildings and the remains of walls show that they were high. If the researchers continue to percer all the secrets, the site will take a quite different dimension.
