TOWER JUNCTION
In Tower Junction, where the Northeast Disturb is coming from the valley of the Soda Creek and Lamar River valleys, the Roosevelt Lodge, a chalet-hotel built in 1916, where President Theodore Roosevelt came. Apart is the Petrified Tree, a huge trunk of petrified tree.
A walking path wins the Ridge Ridge, in the southeast, where the remains of twenty and a superimposed fossil forests are recognized. Other excursions lead either south to Lost Creek Canyon or east at Lamar River Canyon, Soda Butte and Death Gulch (death throat), whose fumerolles would have previously released deadly gases.
Finally, the interesting but difficult walk of Hoodoo Basin (Gobelin Land, 29 kilometers southeast in the Absaroka Range), where we will see fantastic formations with fantastic shapes.
