This national historic park protects some sites near the mouth of the Columbia River that witnessed the Lewis and Clark (1804-1806) expedition, both on the shoreline of Washington State and Oregon. In addition to visiting Fort Clatsop, during the season you can see shows and costumed reconstructions or enjoy a wide range of activities: kayaking, hiking, etc.
The Netul Trail takes you upstream from Fort Clatsop to kayak on the Lewis and Clark River. The Fort to Sea Trail follows in the footsteps of the Corps of Discovery expeditionaries to the ocean at Sunset Beach.
