THE ROYAL JERSEY GOLF CLUB

This golf course has been in existence since 1878 and is one of the most prestigious on the island. Originally, there was a stretch of sandy moorland, covered with heather and nicknamed the Common. This area was gradually fortified to counter the assaults from the sea. Then, in the 19th century, the Common became a racetrack and was finally transformed into the prestigious Royal Jersey Golf Club. Here you will get a glimpse of the island's history. If you walk along the coast, you will pass close to the golfers.
