After several years of vacationing in South Uist, the owners of Heron Point decided to move there themselves with their dogs, to return the hospitality they received and to share their passion and love for the island. The four double and twin bedrooms each have their own private bathroom and are furnished with beautiful solid wood furniture. The living room, with its tartan carpet and fireplace, is very typical. The property is 1.5 miles from the ferry terminal, but guests can pick you up on request.

This hotel dates back to the 1800s, making it an establishment full of character and charm. It is run as a family run hotel by Calum and Karen. Located at the ferry terminal, it overlooks the bay and offers a splendid view of Canna and Rhum. It has 15 rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms. Some of them have a view of the bay. The establishment also has a restaurant and bar. The restaurant offers a panoramic view of the bay and the hills, as well as a fresh, local and traditional menu with seafood and local produce.
