Slightly away from the hustle and bustle of the city, this pretty place is on the waterfront, with a view of the harbour. Regulars and tourists alike make the small detour to take advantage of the unbeatable quality-price ratio and welcome. At lunchtime a set menu is offered. For the rest, the menu is very varied, and counts several pages! Thus seafood, steaks, burgers and a whole range of small dishes well-felt and prepared on the spot are as many proposals. The service is fast and efficient: no wonder it works so well!

"Le Contoir des Marais is a Bar/Brasserie with a warm atmosphere. It will be possible to nibble on Tapas/Plates to share around a glass but also to taste more elaborate dishes which will make you discover the flavours of our local products. We have at heart to work with local producers. Thus, at our place you can find the dairy products of Isigny - Saint-mère, the salmon of William and James, the Bread and Buns to burger of the fountain of the flavours, the Oysters of Saint Vaast la Hougue, the whelks of Port en Bessin, of the Saint Jacques of Grandcamp-Maisy. Located on the port of Carentan, we will be delighted to please you in front of this magnificent view.

Rapport qualité prix sont au rendez vous, frites maisons ce qui n est pas le cas partout ????
Ce lieu a plutôt une ambiance familiale ce qui est appréciable.
J'ai pu observer qu entre la cuisine et le service l esprit d équipe etait la, sans oublier avec le sourire ce qui est très plaisant et me donne bien évidemment envie d'y revenir.
Et l'amabilité dépend sur qui vous tombez.
Je l ai signalé à la serveuse qui devait le remonter en cuisine!!!
Mais pas de suite à cela,n ayant pas pu du tout manger cette viande.
Très déçu de ce passage,nous ne reviendrons certainement pas ...
Bel endroit à l'ambiance pub,peuplé de grenouilles, proposant une bonne cuisine simple et généreuse...excellent fish and ships et un pain perdu Brioché à tomber, servie par un personnel empathique et dynamique.
Très belle découverte.
