Getting around by bus and coach Bilbao

Alsa has a bus line that connects Logroño and Paris via Vitoria, Bilbao, San Sebastián, Irún, Bordeaux, etc.

The Eurolines bus company connects Bilbao with several French cities: Lille, Clermont Ferrand, Metz, Reims, Strasbourg, etc. From Paris, the journey lasts 12 h.

This is the regional bus network of the province of Vizcaya, which consists of about 100 routes. These buses serve practically all the coastal and inland municipalities from Bilbao, including routes to Bermeo, Ondarroa, Durango and Balmaseda. The buses leave from the Bilbao Intermodal bus terminal (formerly called Termibus), located next to the San Mamés train station. Bizkaibus also serves Bilbao airport with the A3247 line, which runs approximately every 20 minutes.

This is Bilbao's new bus station, inaugurated in 2019 in the basement of the San Mamés multimodal interchange. Several companies connect Bilbao with the main Spanish cities and the surrounding municipalities: Alsa for connections to Hendaye, Burgos, Santander, etc.; La Unión buses to Vitoria and Pamplona; Pesa to San Sebastian and Biarritz; Bizkaibus for connections to all the municipalities of Bizkaia and Bilbao airport.
