Opened on December 7, 1982, it is the very first restaurant of the chain. The concept: a 1940's inspired decoration, with an immaculate room in which only the red seats and benches bring a touch of color. Whether it's for breakfast, burgers or milkshakes, you don't come for the taste of the food, which is comparable to that of all traditional diners, but for the view of the Pacific, which is absolutely breathtaking. The reason: the location of the establishment, at the end of Balboa Pier, on Balboa Peninsula.

This small Mexican restaurant full of charm is always full and echoes the accents of the Latin music. Tacos, sopas (soups), tamals (vegetables or meat cooked in banana leaves) are authentic and very tasty.

This beautiful fish restaurant is located on the harbor where you can take the ferry to Balboa Island. If weather permits (almost always the case) ask for a table outside, on the deck all in length, which allows to admire sailboats and the quiet wave in the sunset or through a beautiful day of blue sky. We love the elegant and dark decor, the sunset in the distance or the large illuminated tree that occupies the entire courtyard. Some nights a talented pianist plays music. If you come here primarily for the setting, which you can enjoy with a good glass of wine, A+O serves fresh, refined cuisine. Burrata and tomato platter, salads, burger with brioche bun, club sandwich, pan-fried scallops, steak served with parmesan fries... The menu is as small as it is tempting. Please note that reservations are essential for outside dining.
