LOS ANGELES ZOO
Petit Futé's opinion on LOS ANGELES ZOO
This zoo, one of the major in the US, has 70 endangered species, such as koala, red monkey or white tiger. Animals, mammals, but also birds and snakes are grouped according to their region of origin through different amenities that we travel on a train. However, take long walks on foot. Picnic areas are located everywhere. At the same time, the zoo presents animal shows, not prepared but put in a situation under natural conditions. The habitats, reconstituted for each of them, are what makes this zoo apart. The most impressive are those of monkeys: visit Red Ape Rain Forest, Campo Gorilla Reserve and Chimpanzees of Mahale Mountains. In another register, Winnick Family Children's Zoo lets children caress farm animals, such as goats and sheep.
