Established in 1925, Lobster was originally a small restaurant with 60 seats and up to types of fish. In 1989, the small shop leaves out to the great dam of the inhabitants. After a long decade, the Lobster finally reopened in 1999 and became a renowned place with history. The chowder clam is delicious and the seafood is well cooked, but it is true that you come here to admire the sun on the pier of Santa Monica.

Great food, attentive waiters, and beautiful ocean view.

We had an early dinner at the bar to watch the sunset. The bartenders were friendly and helpful, steering us to the beef cheek tacos, margaritas and crab fried rice. We also had the spiney lobster, octopus and caviar.

Everything was timed well and delicious! The margaritas required a second round and we almost (almost) forgot about the sunset!

View is good, service is good but it is super pricey. It costed me $300 there. I am not sure it is worth the $300. Check the price before go there. Also they offer free parking if you dine in there.

We took my mother in law to The Lobster for her 80th birthday. When we arrived, she had a special need to accommodate. The hostess (not too friendly unfortunately) told us she would have to call the manager. The manager, Amanda, was so incredibly kind. Without having to go into too much detail, I think she understood the situation and was so gracious in accommodating us. Our server, Elijah, was also amazing. He made our time there really fun. The view of the sunset was incredible and food was outstanding but we really owe Amanda and Elijah all the credit and the biggest thank you for making it such a special night for our family. Will definitely be back. Also, the seared mushrooms and herbed noddles were amazing!
