The best restaurants Nikšić (Никшић)

The best address in town where all the locals meet and the obligatory stopover on the road for refreshments or food. In this typical stone and wood barn are nestled lounges and friendly spaces to share authentic moments in a local atmosphere. Outside, the garden is wonderfully laid out with nice little spaces overlooking the river. An amazing address, full of character and exceptionally sweet. For those who don't want to leave, it is possible to camp by the river.

Near the center of Nikšić, the restaurant is located in an open space at the intersection of two streets. The cuisine is made of local specialties but also grilled and barbecued. The place is typical, with a simple and rustic decoration, but where you eat a lot and spend little, if any. The welcome is friendly and the service quick, all in a friendly atmosphere. The portions are really copious, and the quality/price ratio unbeatable. A good address to eat a very correct and unpretentious meal.

Kolibe is wooden cottages for accommodation, but also a 4-star panoramic restaurant built at this location. While admiring the view of the landscape and the monastery, you can taste the local and regional specialties generously served: cicvara, kačamak, lamb or veal ispod sača. Nice wine list, including Podostroski vranac, very good local wine. The address has a beautiful shaded terrace under the vines with rustic wooden decor, but with authentic charm. It is one of the best addresses in the North!

Located in a small, quiet courtyard off Njegoševa Street, between Freedom Square (Trg Slobode) and the Onogošt Hotel, this restaurant is housed in a cute house with exposed stones. It is beautifully decorated in a tavern style and offers a varied menu of local specialities, grilled meat and fish. Family restaurant with a quick and attentive service. Possibility to eat in the dining room or on the terrace. An incredibly charming place, quiet and set back from the crowds of the city centre. Very good general atmosphere.
