The oldest family restaurant is an address not to be missed! Located on the cobbled street leading up to the old town gate, it occupies a rustic house and a terrace set against the ramparts. Dino and Aida, the owners, concoct a traditional, tasty cuisine, made from local products in a wood-fired oven. Everything you eat is produced here: salads from the garden, local goat cheese, aubergine dishes, various stuffed vegetables, local roast lamb, traditional veal with onions, etc.

If you're looking for an authentic Middle Eastern restaurant, look no further than Konoba Bedem in Stari Bar. This quaint place specializes in oriental cuisine with an emphasis on almonds. This fruit is often mentioned in the Koran. You can enjoy traditional dishes such as tagine with almonds or chicken stuffed with almonds. The portions are generous and affordable. The décor is rustic, with stone walls and dimmed lights to create a warm and intimate atmosphere.

The cobbled street of Stari Bar has since 2010 a new tavern(konoba) perfectly incorporated into the environment because the original architecture recalls the medieval towers of the nearby fortress. The interior is even more beautiful. An outside terrace. The cuisine offered is local and cheap: goat cheese, Stari Bar plate, bamije, roast lamb under the "sač", cooked veal, pljeskavica on kajmak (cream cheese), squid... Live music atmosphere, soft on weekends. Possible accommodation above the tavern, if needed.

Here the authentic atmosphere is guaranteed because this fish restaurant is part of the royal palace complex. Its terrace is magnificent as it is located in the Mediterranean park in the shade. An excellent address for a refined dinner under candlelight, away from the noise but only a few steps from the beautiful promenade along the sea. By far the best place in Bar to taste seafood, including the unmissable "red risotto". Very nice wine list. A princely place, in a truly timeless setting!
