Situated in front of the waterfront, this impressive 15th-century fortress towers proudly above the town. Passed through the hands of Turks, Venetians and Austro-Hungarians, it is a vestige of Bosnian rule. Founded by the Bosnian king Tvrtko, it was damaged by the 1979 earthquake and rebuilt. It has served as a summer cinema, a club and is often used as a film location. Beautiful panorama from its towers.
