Guadalajara de Buga, known as the "Ciudad Señora" (Queen City), is an important religious center. During Holy Week, the Basilica of the Señor de los Milagros is visited by hundreds of thousands of believers who come to pray and ask the Señor de los Milagros for support. In the surrounding area, there are many walks and bike rides to beautiful canyons and refreshing natural pools. There is a tourist information point and a vending machine at the Plazoleta Lourdes, in front of the Basilica. Frequent buses from Cali (1 hour 30 minutes) and Armenia (2 hours 30 minutes). The terminal is out of the way, take a cab to the center.
