FOIRE AUX MELONS

Officialized in the second part of the 19th century, this meeting was initially a time of refreshment for the many people coming up from the south and going to the fair of Lessay. Today, although you can of course buy your melon here, the event has become a vast garage sale, with professional antique dealers and those wishing to empty their attics taking place in the Calvaire district. It takes over from the big sale of the city, which takes place a few days before.
